Chapter 5

By wind

Seiya slowly opened her eyes. She had just woken from a weird dreams but couldn’t remember what it was about. The next thing she noticed was her right hand was holding another hand. She looked up and was surprised to see that it was Haruka. Seiya was totally shocked and she needed to spend one minute to accept what she saw.

Haruka was leaning against the wall with her eyes shut, probably asleep. Seiya slowly released her right hand as softly as possible, ready to get loose from Haruka’s grasp. At that moment, however, Haruka’s hand had loosened by itself.

“You are awake, Seiya,” Haruka said gently.

Seiya stared back at her; Haruka’s night-blue eyes were full of kindness. Seiya wanted to say something but Haruka suddenly moved her eyes closer to Seiya’s. Their foreheads were touching.

“Looks like your fever were gone. Ami’s special medicine really works!”

“Oh, is it?” Seiya didn’t know what to do. Haruka was so nice to her; it almost felt unnatural.

“Take one more pill and you will be totally healed. I will get some bread for you now, taking them with a empty stomach isn’t good for your body.” Haruka gave one more look at Seiya and left the room.

Haruka went to the kitchen, and Setsuna had finished her discussion with the other two. Now all they needed was an experiment. So Setsuna decided to go back to her Pluto Castle to test the guard net in the solar system with Taiki and Ami.

Michiru invited Princess Kakyuu and Usagi and the others to her concert and had dinner at a French restaurant after the performance, so they weren’t home yet either. Haruka told Michiru she wanted to stay at home to look after Seiya, so she didn’t go with them.

Haruka took a cup of warm water and a slice of bread back to Seiya’s room. Seiya was sitting on the bed. She had tied up her long hair again. Haruka gave her the bread and water before sitting down, watching Seiya eat.

“Anything else you need?” Haruka asked but Seiya shook her head. Haruka took a pill from the bottle. The pills were white on the top half and lake blue on the bottom part.

“Swallow it and then take a rest tonight. You will be fine by tomorrow morning,” Haruka said.

“Thanks.” Seiya took the pill and put it into her mouth. She then drank the water and swallowed it all down.

“Good, now you just need to rest.” Haruka carefully helped Seiya lay down.

“Haruka, are you all right?” Seiya finally asked. It was too strange; why was Haruka so nice to her? She used to be cool and disliked her, even when she was sick, but now…Haruka wouldn’t be that nice.

“Don’t worry, I didn’t infect you further,” Haruka said lightly.

“…Are you Haruka?” Seiya remembered Haruka never smiled so gently to her before.

“Of course. Could I be Seiya Kou?” Haruka smiled again.

However, Seiya still could not figure out why Haruka was 180 degrees different from the old days.

“If you need anything, just call me,” Haruka said before she went away.

Am I too obvious with my feelings? Haruka wondered. She also felt Seiya would doubt her reaction but Haruka had try her best to control herself. No one would understand how Haruka wanted to kiss Seiya’s face and lips when she saw her.

I will get used to Seiya living in my house in time… Haruka told herself.

Soon, a week passed by, and Haruka’s actions were more normal. As a result, her love for Seiya increased day by day. From the outside, everyone would think Haruka’s manner was simply better and nicer than last year. However, Haruka had gone crazy for Seiya. All this week, Haruka kept on watching Seiya without anyone noticing. Even at night, Haruka would peek at Seiya’s sleeping face.

After Seiya recovered, she always went out with Usagi and the others. Sometimes she would go by Haruka’s car. Seiya now knew Haruka was only good to her like she was good to Princess Kakyuu and Yaten and Taiki; that day, Haruka had been so kind to her just because she was sick. Seiya stayed with Princess Kakyuu as much as possible. Today, they went to an amusement park with Usagi and the other Senshi.

“Wa! … It’s so crowded today!” Minako said.

“This place makes me remember ‘Dead Moon Circus’,” signed Rei.

“Yeah, at that time we had just became Senior High-School students. And now we will be grade three soon….” Ami added.

“And this is where we met you all again!” Usagi said with her happy smiled to Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna and Hotaru.

“Come on! Don’t discuses that anymore. Let’s go and play!” cried Makoto, pointing at the Adventure Zone in the amusement park.

Everyone was playing around. First they went on the roller coaster, then they played Adventure Boat and flying swings. Next they went to Ghost House.

The rule of the Ghost House was people went in the House in groups of two or three. Usagi and Princess Kakyuu were one team. Three Lights were another team. Ami and Minako were a team with Makoto and Rei separately. Michiru was partnered with Haruka and Setsuna was partnered with Hotaru.

First they went in the Ghost House door where there was a woman who carried a candle in her hand. She was pale and she invited them to a lift. The woman told them a scary story about this house in the lift. At last, she told them the only way you can leave here safely was walk step by step. When the lift door opened, they saw six doors in front of them. Each team went in one door; the lift door closed when they exited it.

Haruka was walking with Michiru after they went through the door. And they were laughing since it wasn’t as scary as they thought. Even when something came up to scary them, the just smiled and kept walking. After a few minutes, they were in a two-broach road. There was a sign that said “Only one person can go on each road.” And the look of the two roads was just the same.

“Looks like we need to separate now,” Michiru smiled.

“So, which way will you go? Left or right?” asked Haruka.

“How about you?” Michiru asked back.

“Well, I…I will choose the left.” Haruka knew Michiru wanted her to choose first.

So, Haruka was walking alone. She was worried about Michiru and thinking about Seiya at the same time.

Haruka kept walking until she saw a road block. There was a bloody words on it.

“Your partner is gone…” it said.

Haruka thought that was funny and she suddenly heard footsteps.

“It is you, Haruka.” It was Seiya’s voice.

“Aren’t you with Yaten and Taiki?” Haruka asked.

“Well, we came at a three-branch road. It said each person can only take one road,” explained Seiya.

“That is same as me. It seems like we took the same road,” said Haruka.

Seiya saw the road block behind Haruka and shuddered. “I am worried about them…”

“They will be fine. Let’s find the exit together,” Haruka suggested.

So the two of them kept on walking. And this time, they came to a white door, the words “The Death Door” written on the surface.
