Chapter 2
By wind
It didn’t take long to see four bright stars appear in the sky. Then, four people descended from the sky.
“Princess Kakyuu and Sailor Star Lights, welcome to Earth. I am *Tenou Haruka. Princess and my friends are waiting for you at the house.” Haruka made a gentlemanly bow.
“Oh…nice
to meet you, Haruka.” Princess Kakyuu replied. Although this was the first time
Princess Kakyuu had met Haruka, she could tell by first sight that Haruka was a
gentleman’s lady.
The
Sailor Star Lights had released their make up power and dressed back their old
school uniform.
Haruka peeped at Seiya. Seiya was just the same as Haruka remembered; they had last seen each other one year ago.
Haruka invited them to go in her car. Seiya sat in the front passenger seat and Princess Kakyuu sat with Taiki and Yaten in the back.
Haruka’s car was a very comfortable one; the seats were big and soft, which made you not want to get up after you sat down. The car was well balanced so that you could hardly feel the car motions. Seiya didn’t look right at Haruka, she just watched the window and enjoyed the street view. Haruka was driving carefully and everyone was silent; not even an engine noise could be heard. Haruka had closed all the sound-insulated windows and turned on the air conditioner.
The silence didn’t break until they reached Haruka’s house. Usagi was waiting for them at the front door. When they got out of the car, Usagi gave them a warm welcome and invited them into the house. There were many beautiful decorations and delicious foods waiting for the four guests. The meals were cook by Michiru and Makoto.
During the dinner, Usagi introduced all her friends to Princess Kakyuu and then everyone began to chat and eat. After the meal, they started their karaoke shows. The Three Lights sang first, and then the others took turns. And the last part was a drawing of who would sing love songs with the drawer. Everyone would sing once at the end of the game.
“Haruka
gets Seiya!” Minako exclaimed loudly. That was the name she wanted to get the
most.
Haruka felt
trepidation when she took the name card out.
“…I will
sing the man’s part,” Haruka announced. This shocked Seiya because Seiya had
decided to sing the man part as well. But now she couldn’t say no to Haruka,
that wasn’t nice.
“Oh yeah!
We never hear Seiya sing in female voice.” Yaten and Taiki both laughed.
Haruka watched Seiya as they sang together. To tell the truth, it was more like two boys singing than two girls singing. That made the others laugh and laugh so hard that they couldn’t shut their mouths up. Haruka and Seiya felt the same as well.
They changed to play cards after the karaoke ended. The only rule of the card game was that the loser would drink a cup of wine. Everybody was quiet at first, but then, because of the wine, they started to shout and laugh. At the end, they all fell asleep on the ground.
The next morning, the first one to wake up was Hotaru
because she was not allowed to play the card games so she went to bed early.
But when she came to the living room, she was shocked to see thirteen girls
sleeping on different parts of the living room floor, sprawled in different
directions. Hotaru quickly woke Haruka, since Haruka was the nearest person to
Hotaru.
Haruka awoke with a headache caused by the wine. And when she saw the other girls, she felt more headaches and more painful.
“Hotaru, could you help me get some blankets for them. They will get cold,” Haruka said and Hotaru ran up stairs to get the blankets.
Haruka discovered that the one sleeping beside her was Seiya. Haruka took a close look at Seiya. Seiya was asleep without being on guard; she had a face that was as white as milk. Her eyebrows were long and slim. Her thin lips were closed and a little hair, which was dark blue near black, was stuck beside her lips. Haruka was charmed as she observed Seiya’s beauty; Seiya wasn’t a very pretty woman but the attraction made it impossible for Haruka to take her eyes off her sleeping face.
“Here they
are, Haruka Pa-Pa.” Hotaru’s voice brought Haruka back. She took the blankets
from Hotaru and then the two of them began covering the girls with them. Hotaru
then finished her breakfast and ran back up to her room to get dressed. Her
school club needed her to go back to school this morning.
Haruka
walked back to the living room after Hotaru had left. She looked at the girls
and had a feeling that they wouldn’t wake up until noon. Haruka turned to Seiya
again; Seiya was still sleeping on the floor. She looked at Seiya more
carefully, smoothing Seiya’s hair gently with her left hand. Haruka didn’t
understand, she had not seen Seiya since the end of the war. But when she saw
the boy who gave her the love letter, Seiya appeared in her mind, which wasn’t
the first time during this peaceful year. And now, Seiya was right in front of
her. It was just like a dream…it wasn’t real at all. Haruka once again stopped
herself from looking at Seiya’s mouth.
What am I
thinking? Haruka immediately stopped her impulse to kiss Seiya.
She returned to her room and then randomly took out a car magazine to read,
trying to calm down her strange emotions.
The girls
in the living room finally began waking up at noon. When they finished their lunch,
Ami and Rei left first. Then, Makoto and Minako had school clubs so they went
back to school together. Usagi and Princess Kakyuu, along with the other girls,
were discussing how to avoid the enemy’s attack in the guest room.
“Maybe…sending
someone outside to guard is the …” Haruka remembered herself in the previous
life; she was guarding outside of the solar system all by herself. But Usagi
didn’t let Haruka finished and shouted, “No! That isn’t the best way!”
Haruka
looked at Usagi and said nothing. Seiya, Yaten, Taiki and Princess Kakyuu were
shocked by Usagi’s objection.
“Maybe it
would be better if we could open up a guard net.” Setsuna recommended, breaking
the ice.
“I agree
with you, Setsuna.” Michiru said.
They finally
accepted Setsuna’s suggestion and discussed it with further detail. The two
princesses also agreed that it was the best solution to avoid any enemies.
Haruka left
the room. She remembered her old times but that wasn’t all, she was also
thinking about Seiya. To make her brain calm down from a bunch of thoughts, she
decided to take a drive. However, Seiya stopped her when she got on her car.
“Why did
you suggest sending someone out?” Seiya remembered when Haruka said those
words; it was as if her face was covered with ice. Usagi’s objection was also
unusual.
“…Want to
take a leisurely ride?” Haruka wanted to tell Seiya to leave at first, but
instead she invited Seiya. Haruka wasn’t sure whether this was right or not but
there was no way to change her mind since she had already spoken out. Seiya
gave her a wary look but finally got into the car.
“You
haven’t answered my question yet. Why did you suggest sending a guard?” Seiya
asked after she fastened her seatbelt.
